- Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by senior nursing staff and GPs

- Assisting GPs with minor surgery and coil fittings
- Requesting pathology tests, for example urine culture, swabs
- Interest in Contraception.
- Following agreed clinical protocols with referral to senior nurses or GPs as appropriate
- Maintaining and cleaning equipment used by the nurses
- Maintaining Nurses rooms, stocking and rotating items as required
- Maintain general tidiness and cleanliness of nurses and treatment rooms
- Ordering of Health Promotion Literature
- Working with Immunisations and Vaccine Administrator to support the ordering of vaccinations to maintain stock levels
- Participation in administrative systems in the Practice
- At all times there will be a need to maintain accurate records
- A duty to advise senior nurses of potential problems or errors within a range of assigned tasks
- Attend and participate in any Practice meetings when required.

Job summary
The Ringmead Medical Group is looking for a pro-active, dynamic and experienced nurse to join its ever growing team in the capacity of a Practice Nurse.
This is a varying role and will suit a candidate with a flexible attitude, ability to multi task, a keen eye for detail, works well under pressure and has a great sense of humour.
Willing to upskill a suitable candidate.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the delivery of practice nursing services, working as part of the practice multidisciplinary team, delivering care within their scope of practice to the entitled patient population. The practice nurse will be responsible for a number of clinical areas such as infection prevention and control, health promotion, chronic disease management, health prevention, well women and well man clinics, as well as supporting the management team in the reviewing of clinical policy and procedure.

The Ringmead Medical Group have five sites covering Bracknell, Crowthorne and Sandhurst (Birch Hill, Great Hollands, Crowthorne, Yorktown Road & Owlsmoor). We try to ensure clinicians work predominantly in either the North or South patches.
Our team is ever growing, with an MDT team comprising of Paramedic Practitioners, Clinical Pharmacists, First Contact Physiotherapists, Nursing Associates, Mental Health Practitioner, Social Prescriber and Care Coordinators.
