Job Summary:

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic General Practitioner to join our friendly and forward-thinking team at Four Acre Health Centre. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, evidence-based medical care to our diverse patient population, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent standards of care.

• Provide general medical services to registered patients in accordance with GMC guidelines and current best practice

• Undertake consultations and examinations, either face-to-face, by telephone or via video, as clinically appropriate

• Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic conditions, referring patients as required to secondary care or other appropriate services

• Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and timely patient records using the practice clinical system ([e.g., EMIS, DOCMA, Patches)

• Participate in duty doctor sessions and share responsibility for urgent care

• Provide appropriate health education and disease prevention advice

• Support practice targets such as QOF, enhanced services, and other clinical audits

• Prescribe medications safely and appropriately, in line with local and national guidelines

• Attend and contribute to clinical and practice meetings

• Engage in continuing professional development and revalidation

• Take part in the supervision and training of students, trainees, or other clinical staff (if applicable)

• Contribute to practice development, service improvement, and clinical governance initiatives

• Fully qualified and GMC-registered General Practitioner
• Inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List (with no restrictions)
• MRCGP or equivalent qualification
• Excellent clinical knowledge and decision-making skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Good time management and organisational skills
• IT proficiency, including use of EMIS Web, DOCMAN, Patches

• Experience working in a similar primary care setting
• Special interest(s) or additional qualifications (e.g. minor surgery, womens health, dermatology, mental health)
• Experience with QOF, enhanced services, and clinical audits

• Understanding of and commitment to the challenges and values of working in a modern NHS practice
