      Job summary

      We are looking for an Administrator to join our expanding admin team which currently covers 3 sites, Elizabeth Street Surgery, Gorton Street Surgery and Harris Medical centre. We are temporarily working out of 2 of these sites while our New build is completed.

      We would consider flexible working for the right candidate and candidates must be willing to work at all sites where needed.

      Main duties of the job

      * Clinical Coding

      * Summarising of Patients records

      * Secretarial

      * General Surgery admin

      * Contacting patients where needed

      About us

      Adelaide Street Family practice is a Surgery currently consisting of 3 sites, with 3 GP Partners with over 15 thousand patients.

      We have a large multi-disciplinary team of doctors, nurses , OTs, care coordinators, HCAs ; administrative and reception staff.

      Our Practice mission statement is to provide professional, friendly and efficient health care to the people of Blackpool.

      We work very closely with our PCN and PCN Surgeries

      Job responsibilities

      GP Surgery Administrator

      An exciting opportunity has become available within our GP Surgery, we are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, and flexible new member of our Surgery admin team. The successful candidate will form a part of the current admin team and support the clinical coders and Secretaries ensuring our patients receive a first-class service. This post requires some flexibility within the job as you will be expected to cover annual leave across the secretarial and coding team.

      The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a GP Surgery setting with good knowledge of Gp surgery systems such as Emis and Docman.

      A knowledge of Clinical coding and Summarising of documents would be desirable, but we do offer training for the right candidate.

      Other aspects of the role would be to learn the secretarial role to provide cover during annual leave or any other type of leave for these roles, to provide Safeguarding administration to the Assistant Practice Manager.

      The right candidate will have excellent verbal and written skills and a good IT knowledge and be willing to work as part of a team.

      You will need to be able to communicate by phone, email and any other form of communication between secondary care services and patients. Scanning, postal duties, training on the booking system, putting patient registrations on the clinical system. We have 3 sites, and you would be expected to travel between sites or cover different days at different site dependent on need.
