Job Description

- Responsible for creating exciting, innovative and original designs that promote our brand in a positive way
with our customers and prospective customers, in a timely and efficient manner to company standards,
timescales and budgets as defined by Management colleagues - Responsible for ensuring designs are such that our brands become increasingly desirable
- Design model cars, components, accessories and any other associated items for ARRMA RC
- Use Solidworks software to design engineering level CAD drawings and assemblies (including dimensions,
tolerances, etc with related documentation) - Testing
- FEA and related analyses using Solidworks
- Assist with testing as required by the project lifecycle
- Liaising with all members of the team and manufacturing partners about testing results
- Visiting manufacturing partners to agree final samples of projects you are working on as required by
the project lifecycle
- Suggesting and developing solutions to potential design and quality issues
- Research for the development of new products and modifications to existing products
- Assist with ideation, research, scoping, mule testing, competitor testing and design briefs
- Any other duties required by the business as requested by Management colleagues
- Recognized Engineering qualification (Degree level or higher)
- Solidworks CAD, 2D, FEA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- RC car experience (using/building)
- Fusion360
- Experience of injection molded component design

To work as part of the Product Development team to design new and innovative products as well as improving designs of existing products to ensure ARRMA customers enjoy the fastest and toughest RC cars available. Support ideation, design, and user experience functions by applying years of RC car experience to help ARRMA RC deliver the correct product correctly.
Place of work: Your normal full-time place of work is Unit B, Cedar Court, Forest Business Park, Bardon Hill, Coalville, LE67 1TU. Limited homeworking days may be accommodated at UK management discretion according to business needs.
