      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Lead 1-3 discussion sections for a large lecture course, facilitating student engagement through group work
      - Attend all associated lectures (3 hours/week) and support students in their learning
      - Proctor and grade quizzes and evening exams, providing timely feedback to students
      - Hold office hours to assist students and respond to emails from students and supervisors
      - Perform various administrative tasks as assigned by the department

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Must be a student enrolled in a graduate program at the employer, although applications from undergraduates may be considered
      - Sufficient math background to support students in introductory math courses offered by the Department of Mathematics
      - Must be a native English speaker or score at least 45 on the UW-administered SPEAK test
      - Previous experience as a tutor, TA, or teacher is preferred but not required
      - Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, in English

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Previous teaching or tutoring experience in mathematics
      - Successful completion of advanced math courses beyond undergraduate calculus
      - Strong time management skills to meet deadlines
