What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide accounting and fiscal direct service functions for programs funded by grants or special revenue
- Assist in the review and monitoring of individual grants and transactions for compliance with funding requirements
- Prepare regular financial reports and updates for management on grant performance
- Reconcile financial information and identify issues requiring immediate attention
- Develop and implement proactive approaches to address compliance and performance issues

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate Degree in accounting/finance or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three years of general accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting
- Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet applications, especially Microsoft Excel
- Ability to obtain acceptable results from required background checks
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and dependable transportation

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with government regulations, including Uniform Guidance regarding grants
- Mastery of computer programs relevant to accounting and record-keeping functions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to represent the employer positively in the community
- Experience in internal audit or monitoring functions
