What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support faculty research activities to ensure funding agency and university requirements are met
- Administer grants, contracts, gift funds, and research support funds
- Serve as a primary point of contact for faculty, providing guidance on administrative processes
- Interpret complex policies and regulations to secure sponsor agency approvals
- Manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and develop solutions proactively

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of progressive responsibility in a relevant field
- One year of related work experience for Grant Specialist II
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to establish partnering relationships with faculty and project staff

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Ellucian Banner or similar electronic systems
- Familiarity with SDSU Research Foundation and SDSU policies and procedures
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field
