- Demonstrated experience and expertise in writing competitive school grant proposals or research and/or evaluation reports.
- Knowledge of federal and state granting agency requirements and grant criteria;
- Knowledge of trends in federal, state, local, and foundation funding;
- Familiarity with relevant state legislation;
- Ability to effectively analyze a variety of school system data and correctly determine the implications of such data on system operations;
- Bilingual Preferred

The Grants Specialist is responsible for performing grant management duties relating to procurement, implementation, and management of non-locally funded projects/accounts, requiring a broad and in-depth knowledge of District, State, and Federal policies, as well as, knowledge of personnel, payroll, purchasing and accounts payable functions and procedures. The person in this position performs budget-related professional duties, including operating computerized accounting systems, maintaining the expenditure budget, and preparing accounting analyses and financial reports as requested by Directors, Assistant Superintendents, and the Superintendent.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field required
- Three years of related work experience in writing and managing grants preferred.
