      1. Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred with major course work in Graphic Design or related field.
      2. Minimum two (2) years’ experience in graphic design principles, a wide variety of media and production methods and familiarity with digital file formats (tiff, gif, eps, pdf).
      3. Proficiency working with Adobe Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop).
      4. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered. Such experience must be clearly documented on the application for consideration.
      Under administrative direction, position is responsible for conceptualizing, developing and producing creative marketing collateral and digital content for the Broward County Sheriff’s Office. Position works with other team members to collaborate on creative campaign elements from start to finish with a strong focus on developing content such as interactive experiences as well as static and collateral including animated social media graphics. Employees in this classification are responsible for meeting production schedules, adhering to the standards set forth for the usage of the BSO logo, and maintaining quality assurance for all produced materials.       Performs creation, design, production and distribution of all internal and external printed communication materials.

      Creates digital materials to support growth.

      Produces engaging performative and brand building concepts that motivate and move audience to action.

      Aligns appearance of digital assets to the coordination with website, social and traditional media production for seamless customer experience.

      Strategically thinks about business problems and creates visually compelling content that effectively communicates the message.

      Produces work products including, but are not necessarily limited to, flyers, brochures, posters, billboards, newsletters, recognition certificates, signs, and banners.

      Assists with the creation of policies and procedures for the purpose of evaluating and promoting integrity, as well as the proper use of the BSO logo.

      Operates computer equipment and related desktop publishing and office systems software; maintains electronic files by archiving weekly and updating as necessary.

      Researches new trends, techniques and tools to develop engaging content to include social media.

      Engages in professional development; maintains proficiency in the latest design and communication trend and software.

      Performs related duties as directed.

      Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation. Work is performed in usual office conditions with rare exposure to disagreeable environmental factors.
