The role of the graphic designer will support Micron's vision, mission and values across all the work crafted, and in relationships across Micron.

GCM Studio, an in-house design agency within Micron's Global Communications and Marketing (GCM) organization, is currently seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to join its team of 25+ design professionals.

The ideal candidate is both a self-starter and a standout colleague with extensive knowledge of brand guidelines and how these guidelines contribute to the overall perception of a company's brand in a competitive global marketplace.

Proven experience in graphic design across a wide variety of print and electronic media, and proficiency in related software applications and techniques, is essential for this position, as is the ability to present and defend your work to clients, stakeholders and peers. A portfolio of past work is also a must.

The Graphic Designer will report to GCM Studio's Creative Director but will also collaborate and communicate frequently with colleagues among the broader GCM organization as well as with clients and collaborators across different Micron business units.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Use creative briefs, Workfront requests and/or live meetings with client(s) to resolve requirements and design direction
• Stay within the project schedule and budget constraints
• Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas to the team: creative director, art director, clients and upper management
• Follow brand guidelines and brand toolkit for all project work

Qualification and Education:

• A graphic design qualification or similar
• Portfolio with design projects
• Validated work experience as a graphic designer
• Working experience with image design tools (e.g. Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator)
• A keen eye for visual details
• Aesthetic skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with team members
• Work with copywriter and creative director to produce final design
• Test graphics across various media
• Amend designs after feedback
• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
