What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze data and processes to identify trends and quality issues within the Grievance and Appeals department
- Design and produce visualizations of data reports to support reporting and analysis
- Develop and implement training plans for staff to enhance processing of grievances and appeals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting and quality assurance
- Lead team preparation for audits and responses to regulatory agencies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience in managed care and/or grievance and appeal in a healthcare environment
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal health plan guidelines and regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Excel and Access
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Medicare/Medicaid experience preferred
- Subject-matter expertise in training and facilitation skills
- Experience with database management and health care compliant systems
- Ability to communicate effectively in both group and one-on-one settings
- Proven track record of prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
