Here you’ll be welcomed. We champion diversity and we understand the importance of our people representing the communities and customers we serve. You’ll find an inclusive environment where you can be yourself and where everyone is driven by the same purpose – helping people live longer, healthier, happier lives and making a better world.

Working in our Group function you’ll play a key part in helping our customer facing colleagues deliver exceptional standards of customer service and patient care not just in the UK but around the globe.

No matter your role, you’ll have an opportunity to do work that matters. Making a difference to the lives of our customers each and every day, by helping shape the strategic direction of our business around the world.

      Role Overview

This is a rare opportunity for a Financial Crime subject matter expert to join the Group advisory team providing support and guidance to the business units. You’ll be responsible for advising on key aspects of the implementation and strengthening of a robust framework to manage risks related to financial crime.

This is a new team presenting the opportunity for you to put your stamp on it and you'll have the freedom to make change.

      What you’ll do:

As part of the Group Financial Crime team you will take an active role in advising on the implementation, maintenance, and review of the financial crime risk control framework. You’ll provide subject matter expertise, advice and trusted guidance in relation to financial crime. This is a complex role which will see you managing multiple senior stakeholders whilst providing strategic advice on their financial crime concerns. You’ll need to keep abreast of any new developments and trends within the financial crime space and be prepared to advise accordingly on the impact to the business.

      What you’ll bring:

We are looking for an experienced Financial Crime Advisor (ideally 5 years advisory experience) who is genuinely passionate about what they do. You’ll be strategic and commercial with a growth mindset and, whilst this is vital, it’s equally important you be motivated by contributing to a high performing team. You’ll ideally come from a regulated financial services or legal background and have considerable experience in making risk-based decisions in a complex operating environment with multiple competing demands.

Strong financial crime knowledge across the range of AML, sanctions, fraud, facilitation of tax evasion and, in particular, bribery and corruption is a must. You will preferably have gained a recognised professional qualification within financial crime such as ICA Diploma in financial crime or risk management or money laundering.
