      What You'll Get To Do:

      The Group Manager, Strategic Accounts leads a team of sales professionals in driving growth and managing key Channel Partner relationships for Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company (PCEC). Responsible for regional sales performance and account management excellence, this role ensures the execution of strategic objectives while fostering operational efficiency. The Group Manager plays a critical role in translating organizational goals into actionable plans, guiding the team to achieve sales targets, and building strong partner relationships. With a focus on leadership, process optimization, and market insight, this role bridges strategy and execution to deliver measurable results in the competitive consumer electronics industry.

      Sales Planning Strategy

      • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual goals for assigned regions/accounts.
      • Work with the Director of Sales to align team strategies with corporate objectives.
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Merchandising, Demand Planning) to align strategies and optimize execution.
      • Eliminate roadblocks to ensure effective collaboration across teams.
      • Set sales targets, monitor performance, and implement corrective actions to meet or exceed goals.
      • Analyze sales performance, market trends, and promotional effectiveness to refine strategies.
      • Work with internal stakeholders (e.g., Demand Planning, Marketing) to ensure accurate forecasting and optimal inventory levels.
      • Work with Account Managers to identify and pursue business development opportunities

      Region Management

      • Oversee assigned regions and accounts, ensuring consistent representation of the brand and execution of promotional activities.
      • Analyze regional sales data, market trends, and competitive insights to identify growth opportunities and adjust strategies.
      • Serve as the point of escalation for account issues, resolving them promptly to maintain partner satisfaction.
      • Conduct regular field audits, including visiting physical stores, eCommerce platforms, and other sales channels.
      • Represent PCEC in trade shows, conferences, and high-profile partner meetings to promote Panasonic and strengthen account relationships.

      Team Management

      • Foster a high-performance culture through direct hiring, coaching, and performance management.
      • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and performance.
      • Ensure team proficiency in key functions such as account management, dealer marketing, and forecasting.
      • Conduct regular one-on-one and team meetings to ensure alignment on goals, strategies, and account updates.
      • Manage performance reviews, sales bonus program, travel and expenses, PTO, etc.

      Operational Execution

      • Ensure the smooth execution of day-to-day sales operations, including account setup, sample management, and promotional compliance.
      • Share and implement sales best practices within the team to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
      • Leverage CRM tools and analytics platforms to track performance and identify opportunities.
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address operational challenges, such as credit issues, returns, or backorders.

      Scope

      • Reports to: Director of Sales
      • Staff: 4 sales team members
      • Annual Revenue: Sales Budget of $150m+

      Qualifications

      What You'll Bring:

      Education and Experience

      • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College/University or 8 plus years of equivalent Work Experienced required
      • 10 plus years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
      • Proven ability to achieve sales goals and lead teams to success.
      • Experience with consumer electronics or related industries is preferred.
      • Strong understanding of retail and eCommerce channels, including promotional strategies and product placement.
