Job Description

- Performing general maintenance and repairs in the hotel
- Assist the Chief Engineer in the day-to-day maintenance requirements of the hotel
- Carry out maintenance requirements and follow up as scheduled by the Hotels’ Property Management System (PMS).
- Assist in keeping up-to-date records on the repair and maintenance of plant and equipment
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel equipment, machinery, and systems to identify potential issues
- Ensure all tasks are performed with urgency and in the safest manner possible
- Assist in managing 3rd party contractors
- Communicate effectively with hotel staff to address urgent maintenance concerns
- Excellent communication skills
- A strong eye for detail
- Self-motivated, punctual and reliable, with a proactive approach to work
- Basic knowledge of general repair work or DIY
- Competent in the use of basic computer programs
- Workplace Health and Safety knowledge
- Ability to accommodate flexibility with shifts, including weekends
- Previous Handyman Experience in a hotel or guest service environment preferred
