The operator is responsible for heat treating various forgings using the Ipsen furnace. The operator will use various production machines and equipment, conveyor, washing machine, tempering furnaces, various measuring instruments, hand tools, rakes, shovels, brooms, hand trucks and safety equipment.

• Responsible for all material handling
• Loading the furnace with parts in order to perform the hardening process
• Monitoring and adjusting the process as necessary to ensure that parts conform to print specifications
• Keeping the work area clean
• Recording all necessary information in daily heat treat logs
• Other work as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

• Basic math and English skills
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to read basic measuring devices
