What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure applications meet all FEMA requirements and align with Hazard Mitigation Assistance program guidelines
- Coordinate with project stakeholders to gather necessary documentation and information for grant applications
- Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets for inclusion in applications
- Provide technical support to applicants regarding requirements and processes for submitting hazard mitigation applications
- Conduct detailed reviews of hazard mitigation applications to ensure compliance with FEMA policies and regulations

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in public administration, Emergency Management, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience working on State or Federal mitigation operations
- Knowledge of FEMA grant programs, including Public Assistance (PA) and Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP)
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with applicants and stakeholders

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience with similar projects and a proven track record in successful grant applications
- Familiarity with FEMA guidelines, policies, and compliance requirements
- Experience conducting hazard vulnerability assessments and integrating risk data into project proposals
