Job Title: Hazwoper Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Technician with a strong background in construction, plumbing, and piping systems. The role involves working on various construction sites throughout NJ, including swimming pools, HVAC systems, plumbing supporting pumps, wastewater treatment plants, and other construction projects. The Technician will work under the direction of engineers or project managers and collaborate with a team of 3-5 contractors on each project.

Responsibilities

• Install piping and plumbing systems on construction sites
• Perform work under the direction of engineers or project managers
• Collaborate with a team of 3-5 contractors on each project
• Utilize strong knowledge of PVC pipe installation and blueprints
• Work on various construction projects including swimming pools, HVAC systems, and wastewater treatment plants

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of construction field experience
• Experience in plumbing, piping, and trenching systems
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and certifications (OSHA 10, 30, 40, SST)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints

• Confined Space certification

Work Environment

The work environment involves fieldwork for extended periods, under various weather conditions including heat, cold, and adverse environmental conditions. Candidates must be capable of physical exertion and lifting up to 50 lbs when necessary. Working conditions involve all weather scenarios. Candidates will represent the company and must maintain a professional demeanor on client sites.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fair Lawn, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
