      Head of Commercial

      £130,000 to £140,000 plus excellent benefits including up to 10% employer pension contribution, private healthcare for you and your family, and a company car or £8,000 car allowance (Work Level 3)

      We’re looking for a motivated Head of Commercial to join us at Co-op. In this role, you’ll work as part of our Senior Leadership team to lead Co-op’s multichannel Commercial functions, developing and delivering mid to long-term strategy and commercial success in line with our vision and values.

      What you’ll do

      • Act as a key member and contributor of Co-op’s Senior Leadership team, taking accountability for the delivery of circa. £9.5bn sales per annum
      • Help to set the strategic direction of the business via the 5-year business plan, actively representing Co-op’s proposition externally, and fuelling growth and investment, while being fully accountable and responsible for the profit delivery of Food
      • Empower leaders in the team to contribute to the strategy and execution of profit delivery, as well as collaborating with Co-op leaders across Food, Wholesale, Ecommerce, Franchise and other teams across our wider Co-op

      This role would suit people who have

      • Excellent communication skills across all channels, with proven experience of translating technical / complex matters into simple and accessible language
      • Significant knowledge and experience within Commercial
      • Leadership skills, and the ability to engage, inspire and motivate colleagues within a reporting line and across the wider Co-op
      • Great influencing skills with the ability to interpret Co-op’s Food strategy and translate into priorities for commercial delivery
