      Summary

      We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Editorial to join our prestigious asset management firm. As the Head of Editorial, you will lead a team of talented writers and content creators, overseeing the development and execution of high-quality editorial content to support our firm's thought leadership, branding, and client engagement efforts. This role requires a deep understanding of the asset management industry, excellent writing and editing skills, and the ability to lead and inspire a team of senior professionals.

      Responsibilities

      1. Editorial Strategy & Governance

      • Establish key firm franchise content and drive its creative vision, production and promotion
      • Drive the firm's editorial governance process by working closely with subject matter experts and senior executives to develop, implement and promote a comprehensive editorial strategy aligned with the firm's goals and brand positioning.
      • Work with marketing and subject matter experts to appropriately source, vet and prioritize content for development.
      • Identify key topics and themes for content creation, ensuring they resonate with our target audiences in the asset management industry through close collaboration with Channel Marketing teams
      • Ensure that all editorial content complies with regulatory requirements and industry best practices by collaborating with compliance and legal teams to mitigate potential risks and maintain the firm's reputation and integrity.
      • Stay up to date with industry trends, market developments, and emerging topics in the asset management sector. Apply this knowledge to identify opportunities for content creation and thought leadership initiatives.
      • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of editorial initiatives. Analyze data and insights to continuously refine the content strategy and improve performance.

      2. Team Leadership

      • Manage a team of writers, editors, and content creators, providing guidance, mentoring, and support.
      • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging creativity and professional growth among team members.

      3. Content Creation

      • Execute on your own book of writing projects in a player/coach role, as well as overseeing the creation of engaging and insightful written content across the team
      • Lead the prioritization and execution of content development across various channels & formats, including articles, white papers, blog posts, research reports, and other thought leadership pieces.
      • Ensure consistency in tone, style, and messaging while maintaining the highest editorial standards.
      • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop and execute effective distribution strategies for editorial content. Leverage digital platforms, social media, industry publications, and other relevant channels to maximize the reach and impact of our content.

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus.

      • Proven experience in editorial management, preferably within the asset management industry or related financial services sectors.

      • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to produce clear, concise, and compelling content.

      • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.

      • Deep understanding of asset management industry trends, investment strategies, and financial products.

      • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance considerations relevant to the asset management industry.

      • Proficiency in content management systems, digital publishing tools, and analytics platforms.

      • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.

      • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

      Compensation Details

      The salary range for this role is $180,000-$220,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
