      Job Description

      The Role

      Reporting to the Finance Director – Asia & Corporate this position is a senior member of the Finance Leadership Team and plays an instrumental role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of the business.

      The Head of Finance – Asia Commercial is responsible for the end-to-end financial planning cycle, management reporting and adhoc analysis for Asia Commercial to enable effective decision making across our organization. The role will be a key business partner to senior stakeholders across SEEK Asia and leads a team of Finance Business Partners.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Lead and manage a team of Finance Business Partners, ensuring the team is delivering high-quality support to key stakeholders across SEEK.
      • Partner with Asia Commercial and their respective teams to develop a clear understanding of the business drivers to provide meaningful analysis and insights to support growth and strategic objectives.
      • Prepare robust financial budgets and forecasts that support business planning processes and investment decisions, including the delivery of business case scenario modelling, ‘what-if’ analysis, viability information, risks and opportunities analysis.
      • Provide regular reports and analysis to the SEEK Asia Executive Team on financial performance and strategic initiatives.
      • Provide thought leadership and expertise in the area of financial business partnering, including best practices, industry trends and emerging technologies.
      • Play a key role in the development and execution of the financial strategy for the SEEK Asia Commercial business.
      • Develop close and trusted working relationships with senior leaders in SEEK Asia, while maintaining the ability to provide objective financial advice and challenge where required.
      • Contribute to external reporting - own and deliver SEEK Asia’s financial information included in the bi-annual investor relations reporting.
      • Support the bi-annual audit process for the SEEK Asia operating segment and liaise with external auditors where necessary.
      • Continuously assess and strive to improve the key processes and systems which support team deliverables, in collaboration with the Strategic Enablement team where appropriate.
      • Identify and implement changes aimed at delivering efficiency, improving financial controls, improving the accuracy of outputs or enhancing the ability to draw key insights.
      • Drive cross-team collaboration - working closely with a variety of stakeholders across SEEK Asia, the APAC Finance teams and the wider finance function including Investor Relations and Group FP&A.
      • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders including the Executive, SEEK Asia Executive Team and FABS Senior Leadership Team.

      The Team

      The Asia Commercial team consists of Business Partners who work directly Asia Commercial Leadership. Team members are co-located with the business and support strategic commercial decision making across geographies and lines of business. The team provides business unit specific strategic insight and consultative services to enable value creation.

      Qualifications

      So, what we are looking for:

      • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.
      • CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent)
      • Minimum of 10 years post qualifying experience, preferably in a large, complex organisation
      • Previous experience in FP&A or commercial finance role in a large company
      • Deep understanding of key accounting concepts, financial controls and standards, and reporting.
      • Experience of partnering with a large network of senior stakeholders across multiple functions from within the business and the wider finance team
      • High level literacy, numeracy and problem-solving skills, including intermediate computer skills (including use of Microsoft Office Excel, PowerBI, Tableau and PowerPoint).
      • Excellent leadership skills, with a track record of leading and managing a high performing commercial finance team
      • Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging work environment, whilst prioritising tasks and applying high levels of attention to detail.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present financial information and analysis to various audiences in a manner that ensures their understanding
      • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills with the ability to provide insight into financial and business performance
      • Strategic thinking skills, ability to envision a future state for the function, and an ability to balance short-term and long-term objectives
      • Strong change management capability, with experience implementing change with a focus on identifying potential roadblocks and taking steps to mitigate them, and leading a team through change
      • Continuous improvement mindset, with an eye for efficiency and streamlining processes

      Other Qualifications, Skills and Experience

      • Experience in a large, complex and listed technology, software or digital advertising organisation would be added advantage.
