Salary: National – circa £100,000, London – Circa £120,000

We are looking for a Head of Safety & Security to join our team!

A bit about the job:

The role holder has responsibility to strengthen Aviva’s operational capability in the Health & Safety and Corporate Security services through cross functional working to continue to deliver colleagues and customers’ needs from a safe and stable physical environment.

The role holder has accountability to ensure governance around the appropriate Business Standards and will be responsible for the delivery of appropriate actions to ensure strong compliance against the controls associated to known risks in icare.

The role holder will be a member of the CS&R Leadership team and will provide expert counsel and challenge across the wider department.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Experience delivering Corporate Security and H&S leadership

• Excellent leadership skills: direct management of team (c.5) and matrix management of a much larger group of security & H&S Specialists

• Stakeholder management: ability to skilfully communicate plans to audiences of varying degrees of seniority and technical knowledge, and gain agreement on what must be done now vs what can be improved later

• Strong team management skills with the ability to empower and enthuse direct reports

• Experience of resolving continuous complex problems, using data where it will help identify trends / hot spots

• National salary circa £100,000, London salary circa £120,000, depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications,
