      About the role:
      The SSC Head is responsible for the daily operations of the SSC organization. She/he represents the SSC organization internally and externally. She/he will be responsible to run the organization and manage the functional teams in multiple areas. She/he is regularly in contact with the key SSC service receivers to actively manage the business expectations and constantly drive process improvements to ensure the agreed service quality levels as well as to strive for higher productivity. People development is a key element to achieve this. She/he will be actively driving scope extensions.

      Key responsibilities:

      • Represent the SSC organization internally and externally.
      • Responsible for setting the direction, goals, and objectives for SSC organization - Lead the mid and long-term vision for SSC, which includes analyzing center cost structure (budget owner), service consistency, and process optimization aimed to provide excellent services.
      • Establish the optimal organizational design and achieve objectives.
      • Take an active role as a business leader within the team and support the overall objectives of the business - Operationalize group strategy and lead service delivery in line with service portfolio and SLAs.
      • Oversees the SSC processes within the SSC and provides objectives to the SSC staff
      • Manage, coordinate, and develop/ coach the SSC staff and actively plan for succession to develop and replace individuals effectively
      • Proactively manage and monitor KPIs and SLAs to drive accuracy and timeliness of all deliverables. Establish regular communication to share successes and solicit challenges or concerns with all SSC Key Stakeholders to ensure issues are identified, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner
      • Communicate metrics to relevant stakeholders to highlight issues, identify root causes, and solve in conjunction with other functional process owners - using service provider’s metrics, track and report key performance measures. Work closely with all business partners to ensure compliance with processes that will facilitate timely processing of operations.
      • Active participation in the creation and maintenance of an environment that enables the team to manage delivery effectively and achieve the highest quality through a Continuous Improvement culture - adopt best practices and continuous improvement programs
      • Interacts with Global Process Owners to ensure optimization of processes and operating costs, introduce standard processes, and embed knowledge management practices.
      • Collaborate with other global shared service HUB to ensure global agenda execution.

      About you:

      • Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
      • Proficiency in both written and spoken English. Other language proficiencies, e.g. Dutch/French/Spanish/ German proficiency, are a plus.
      • +15 years of experience with growing responsibilities in SSC/GBS environments
      • Proven experience (+8 years) in a leadership role within Global Shared Services or shared services management
      • Leadership experience (>150 employees) of 3-5 years.
      • SSC/GBS working experience in at least 3 functional areas.
      • Transformation experience including technology landscape (RPA/Automation would be an asset - Good understanding on automation opportunities).
      • A track record of successfully driving change management initiatives focused on promoting solution-oriented mindsets.
      • Transition Experience in the dispersed ecosystem.
      • Profound Finance knowledge.
      • Experienced in continuous improvement approach.
      • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, able to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
      • Strong strategic planning and operational management skills, with a focus on driving a culture of solution orientation, problem-solving, and inclusivity.
      • Excellent talent management capabilities, capable of fostering a team culture that values creativity and innovation.
      • Demonstrated expertise in process standardization and continuous improvement methodologies. Strong technological acumen, with experience in leveraging technology to support creative problem-solving.
      • Good time management and being able to set the necessary priorities (deliver on time the required).
      • Travel within Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia on a regular basis, up to 20% of the time.
