      You will serve as a HEALTH SYSTEM SPECIALIST in the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery Military Treatment Facility of NMRTC CAMP LEJEUNE NC.

      Duties


      • You will utilize knowledge in Medical terminology.
      • You will multi task.
      • You will provide excellent customer service.
      • You will have the ability to obtain PEBLO certification within the first year of hire.
      • You will prepare and present findings.
      • You will track all assigned cases, analyzes performance against established metrics related to Disability Evaluation Systems (DES) processing performance.
      • You will serve as the primary liaison between the military member and other agencies.

      Requirements


      • Must be a US Citizen.
      • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
      • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

      • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

      • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

      Qualifications


      Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
      • Experience working with medical agencies such as Medical Evaluation Boards (MEB), Physical Evaluation boards (PEB) or similar medical agencies to ensure beneficiaries information is delivered timely.
      • Experience Interpreting and applying complex policies and regulations to counsel and resolve individual disability cases/claims.
      • Experience tracking disability cases and analyze performance metrics and data.
      • Experience utilizing ingenuity and resources to execute programs for disability military and civilian personnel.
