- Serve as Administrator of Patient Administration for the Defense Health Network Atlantic, providing program management and subject matter expert for strategic and operational planning, organizing, staffing, decision support, and policy development.
- Prepare and present senior level Defense Health Network (DHN) and DHA briefs and reports, following structured analysis of complex statistical information and/or scenarios.
- Serve as the DHN subject matter expert and primary point of contact for privacy compliance inquiries.
- Serve as the DHN subject matter expert for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance program
- Serve as the DHN subject matter expert providing oversight for all issues relating to the medical documentation and records administration, release of information, health information management and data quality.
- Serve as the DHN subject matter expert for patient programs supporting patient eligibility, registration, entitlements, patient movement, MTF operations and provide plans for the development, coordination, and policy publication for the DHN.
- Provide oversight of the Data Quality Management Control Program and coding compliance program by monitoring MTF record management/coding outcomes, interpret data, analyze metrics/trends, implement improvement initiatives and enforce standards.
- Serve as DHN's subject matter expert for the Joint's Disability System, to include the Legacy system, Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES) and Temporary Disability Retirement List system.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Assisting with operation and/or policy formation in a medical organization or network; 2) ensuring compliance with governing regulations, such as Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act
(HIPAA); AND 3) reviewing legislation for impact to medical facility and patient care. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).About the company
