- To conduct assigned duties, involving direct care and observation of patients under the guidance and indirect supervision of qualified staff.
- To report to the qualified staff any observations made whilst providing care and support to patients during activities and leisure, providing details of mental state and risk factors.
- To collaborate with patients on an individual and group basis as outlined in the care plan and as directed by the appropriate named lead professional.
- You must have excellent communication skills, be dependable, punctual, and work well in a team, whilst remaining focused on providing a person-centred and recovery approach to care and treatment.

Job summary
Are you looking to step into a Healthcare environment? Or are you seeking to expand your skillset in an in-patient environment?
We are looking for Healthcare Assistants to work in our mixed Rehabilitation inpatient ward, Opal ward at our Aylesbury Site.
Opal ward is a 20 bedded mixed ward including a Hospital Based Place of Safety (HBPOS). We provide care and treatment for patients experiencing chronic mental and physical health problems.
Within this role you can progress onto becoming a qualified nurse. Or join the trust's apprenticeship framework and benefit from a fully funded university course.
