What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage policy inquiries, updates, terminations, and ID card orders for members
- Provide coverage information and assist with prior authorization and referral processes
- Handle claims status updates and inquiries, including appeals for denied claims
- Troubleshoot website issues for members and answer general health insurance questions
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive member information and escalate complex issues as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
- At least two (2-3) years of experience in claims examination, health insurance, customer service, call center, medical office, or other healthcare-related field
- Strong computer experience, including data entry and screen navigation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to clear a criminal background check

- In-depth knowledge of healthcare terminologies, eligibility, benefits, medical claims, and ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding
- Strong multi-tasking abilities with attention to detail
- Self-motivated, organized, and possess time-management skills
- Experience working independently as well as part of a team
