      Job Overview

      The Revenue Cycle Specialist (remote) will perform eligibility and verification checks, authorization requests, and/or physician orders tracking tasks. In this role, the Specialist will complete a variety of revenue cycle tasks that may include: verification of the patient's correct insurances, requests for necessary authorizations required or send/follow-up on outstanding physician orders. Additionally, a Revenue Cycle Specialist will communicate directly with insurance companies, physician offices as well as our client contacts to complete tasks assigned.


      Responsibilities

      Revenue Cycle Specialists will be able to manage multiple responsibilities including:
      • Verification of patient's benefits and coverage, which includes:
        • Initial verification of patient's insurance for services
        • Monthly re-verification of patient's insurances to identify insurance changes.
        • Completion of tasks and verification information in the client's EMR
      • Authorization requests for patient's insurances that require pre-certification.
        • Initial authorization request made to insurance companies.
        • Submission of necessary medical documentation from the client's EMR to support the authorization request.
        • Subsequent authorization requests to insurance companies
      • Physician Orders Tracking management, which includes:
        • Sending of initial unsigned physician orders to physician offices and contacts for signature
        • Follow-up and strategy on any aged unsigned physician orders
        • Checking in and compliance review of signed physician orders into the client's EMR systems
      • Development and maintenance of internal spreadsheets and databases, as necessary
      • Training staff, as needed.

      Qualifications
      • High school diploma or equivalent
      • 2+ years of healthcare revenue cycle experience, specifically in eligibility, authorizations, and/or orders tracking.
      • Experience with Home Health/Hospice/Palliative/Skilled Nursing EMR systems a plus
      • Excellent interpersonal skills, and an aggressive approach to excellence
      • Provide excellent customer service to peers, management, and clients.
      • Strong quantitative and analytic skills, Initiative to problem solve.
      Salary range/ Benefits :

      $20.00- $24.00 per hour, depending on experience.
      The compensation scale listed is a general salary range and is not intended to represent the actual annual or hourly compensation rate for this role. An offer will be made to the selected candidate at the conclusion of the interview process based on their relevant experience and the responsibilities of the position.
