Job summary
We are looking for caring and enthusiastic individuals to work as a Healthcare Support Worker, working permanent nights on our mental health wards.
If you would like to work in a care environment, with patients who have a range of mental health and clinical needs, we want to hear from you!
As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will work closely with service users, their families, and carers. You will be essential in ensuring those who use our services have a positive experience and work as part of our dedicated teams. You will deliver person centred care according to a patient's individual care plan under the supervision of registered staff.
The candidate must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues within the wider multidisciplinary team. This vacancy is for night shifts only (with a requirement to attend face to face sessions for essential training and induction during day shifts), for posts available in the following locations; Havant, Southampton & Basingstoke.

Main duties of the job
You will work as a member of a multidisciplinary team alongside service users to promote independence and daily living skills, including personal hygiene, diet and fluids, encouraging them to engage in social or leisure activities as identified within their Care Plan.
This role will provide support in management of risk, developing therapeutic relationships, supporting people to live meaningful and fulfilling lives.
Act as a role model for team members, supporting new or less experienced colleagues.
This role will assist and support qualified staff and carry out assigned tasks as directed, without supervision. This will include housekeeping duties where required.
This role will demonstrate excellent communication skills, using them to engage, persuade or negotiate with clients with complex, at times challenging needs to ensure they are provided with the most appropriate care and support.
