      Job Title: Heavy Assembler


      Job Description

      We are seeking a dedicated Heavy Assembler for the 1st shift. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with opportunities for overtime after regular hours and potentially on Saturdays. The position offers competitive compensation.

      Responsibilities

      • Work under supervision with team members to complete various tasks in the assembly process.
      • Depending on the line and business needs, prep parts, de-burr, power wash, install SAEs and expander plugs, assemble valves, test, install fittings, verify, and pack for shipment.
      • Fill assembly orders from start to finish according to company quality standards.
      • Assemble per blueprints, instruction sheets, PCPs and other vital production documents.
      • Log assembly information on daily or weekly log sheets as required by the department.
      • Prepare work in process for the next step in production.
      • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
      • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

      Essential Skills

      • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
      • Previous manufacturing/assembly experience is a plus.
      • Ability to function as part of a team.
      • Comfortable working with manual tools and power tools.
      • Basic reading and writing skills in English.
      • Basic math skills or ability to use a calculator.
      • Ability to read blueprints.
      • Ability to use scanners, microscopes, and various manually operated gauges by hand.
      • Must be able to meet quality and productivity standards.
      • Must be able to multi-task.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Mechanical aptitude.
      • Ability to perform quality checks.
      • Ability to operate simple machines and hand tools, including air machine, wrench, and expander gun.
      • Ability to lift 50-75 lbs.

      Work Environment

      The majority of the work time is spent in a manufacturing environment where temperatures can vary depending on the season, and noise levels can be moderate to high. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required as determined by company safety standards, including safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, and safety shoes.

      This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vernon Hills, Illinois.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $18.25/hr.
