What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Diagnose and troubleshoot Level 1 problems with personal computer hardware, software, and peripherals
- Respond to help desk inquiries and assist users with computer system requests
- Acknowledge receipt of user requests and manage them within defined service levels
- Initiate service orders (tickets) for user requests while providing necessary assistance
- Maintain accurate user information and documentation throughout the support process
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Strong telephone etiquette skills
- Ability to develop business relationships and communicate effectively with the user community
- Basic troubleshooting skills
- Fundamental understanding of network, server, and desktop administration techniques
- Experience with installations and upgrades of relevant tools and equipment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+ and ITIL
