What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review and code medical records accurately and efficiently
- Update and process late charges in a timely manner
- Assist facility staff and physicians with coding queries and issues
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations
- Maintain knowledge of current coding practices, including ICD-10-CM and CPT

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Certification in one or more of the following: CPC, CCS, RHIA, RHIT
- 2-5 years of medical coding experience preferred
- Proficiency in ICD-10-CM and CPT coding
- Functional knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently

- Additional certifications in specialized coding areas
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
