What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review medical records and accurately code patient diagnoses and procedures
- Update and process late charges in a timely manner
- Assist facility staff and physicians with coding-related inquiries
- Ensure compliance with coding regulations and guidelines

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Certification in one or more of the following: CPC, CCS, RHIA, RHIT
- Minimum of 2-5 years of medical coding experience
- Proficiency in coding with ICD-10-CM and CPT
- Functional knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding tasks

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Additional certifications in specialized coding areas
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Familiarity with coding compliance regulations and standards
