Overview

A family in Miami Beach is seeking a full-time live-in Summer nanny with the potential to stay on beyond Summer should both parties desire this. The role would begin around Memorial Day and extend through Labor Day (approximately May 26th-September 1st). The family will be traveling for 6 weeks in the Summer to Lebanon and Switzerland. They have 3 children ages 5, 3, and 7-months-old. The nanny to hire will always have help with the children; whether it be the Mother, another family member when traveling, or another nanny assisting. Also, the older children are in summer camps and sometimes in camps even when traveling and so the primary focus for this role will be on the baby, but the nanny should be open and available to care for the older children as well. The schedule will be Tuesday through Saturday (Sunday/Monday off) or Sunday through Thursday (Friday/ Saturday off) for 44 hours/week from approximately 11am-6pm on the weekdays and 10 hours on the 1 weekend day.

Responsibilities

• Planning and executing educational activities and games for the children
• Being outdoors with the children–must be active and able to be outside running after the children and having fun
• Laundry on occasion (the housekeeper does the cooking, cleaning, and laundry but nevertheless having a pitch-in mentality as needed is required)
• Doing sports with the children as age-appropriate

Qualifications

• The ability to speak Spanish is a bonus
• The ability to speak French is a bonus

Requirements

• Must be a licensed driver with a clean driving record (the nanny will drive the children around)
• Must know how to swim
• Having an adventurous spirit
• Being active and able to be outdoors running after the children
• Being a planner and executing intellectually stimulating activities for the children
• Being easygoing to work well with other people
• Focused on intellectual stimulation: talking to the children, engaging them, coming up with games and activities as age-appropriate, etc.

Salary and Benefits

• $40/hour
• The family is open to a nanny relocating for this role
