The Behavioral Wellness Center at Girard is a Philadelphia Drug & Alcohol Treatment Center offering both inpatient and outpatient Psychiatric and Substance Abuse counseling and treatments. The Behavioral Wellness Center at Girard (formerly North Philadelphia Health Systems – Girard Medical Center) has always been at the forefront of innovation in the provision of treatment services for individuals with substance use and mental health challenges and a willing partner to the City of Philadelphia in serving City residents.
We seek to hire a highly skilled, empathetic, and motivated part-time Horticulturalist.
The job requires delivering horticultural activities to patients who are dealing with addiction and mental health problems. As a part of the CATW department, you will work with the team to provide treatment based on the patient's needs, taking into account their physical abilities, developmental functioning, and symptomology.
To qualify for the role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Creative Arts Therapy, previous experience in horticulture, as well as Mental Health/Substance use disorder treatment. A background in Counseling, Recreational Therapy, or any other related field is preferred. Having certification, bilingual skills, and CPR certification is a plus.
