What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Facilitate improvement in medical record documentation for coding, billing, and compliance
- Accurately review and code diagnoses and procedures from electronic medical records
- Participate in quality audits, maintaining a 95% accuracy rate or better
- Collaborate with coding management and other departments to ensure timely billing
- Provide data for statistical reports and assist in medical record reviews for audits

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of two (2) years of previous hospital coding experience
- Thorough knowledge of ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM/PCS, and CPT-4 coding classification systems
- Associate degree in Health Information Management or completion of AHIMA's Independent Study program
- Must maintain certification as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, or CPC
- Computer literacy and a score of 85% or better on the employer's coding skills test

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with coding in Radiation Oncology
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with healthcare billing processes
- Previous experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment
