Job summary
To support the Facilities (Hotel Services) team in delivering Housekeeping and Catering services to the National Standards for these services in NHS Wales, HIW standard 5 and 9 and Organisational Standards. To assist in developing, maintaining and promoting the highest standards of service delivery and team working practices; and helping to maintain open, effective communication.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 17.5hr post for a Hotel Services Assistant at Keir Hardie University Health Park at Merthyr Tydfil.
The successful candidates will be required to work within a patient environment and previous experience would be an asset. The main duties of the post include general cleaning of all areas of the Health Park in accordance with departmental schedules and specifications and in line with the National Standards of Cleanliness, alsoin the event of service pressure and according to the Job Description requirements of this role successful candidates may be required to perform catering duties to manage service pressures.
Flexibility is essential and the successful candidates will be expected to adapt to service pressures and modernization. Also the successful candidates would need to be flexible with regard to movement throughout all Health Board sites. The successful candidates must observe and maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, confidentiality, courtesy and consideration to all patients and fellow employees.
