- Partner closely with the CHRO, Chicago-based HRBP and senior leadership to identify and plan workforce requirements (engagement, development, retention).
- Will build strong relationships with business leaders and HR team to advise on all aspects of HR including talent management, performance management, compensation, and employee relations.
- Identify training needs for client groups and partner with Talent Management team to implement training solutions.
- Provide day-to-day employee relations and performance guidance to managers (e.g. coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues and assist in preventing and resolving problems or disputes between employees and management.
- Develop contract terms for new hires, promotions, internal transfers, and terminations.
- Handle sensitive HR data with the utmost confidentiality and discretion; act as the primary centralized source for employee issues for the New York City office.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously; problem solve and follow through on issues in a timely matter.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant HR experience either as a generalist, employee relations, or different functions of HR
- Financial services industry experience needed
- Strategic thinker with a roll-up your sleeves attitude
- Ability to handle sensitive information with absolute discretion required
- Highly personable and professional manner and demeanor required
- Excellent organizational aptitude, time management skills, detail orientation, ability to multi-task, outstanding work ethic and strong interpersonal skills required
- Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data to support decision and solutions is a plus
- A desire to succeed in an entrepreneurial environment
SUMMARY
The Human Resources Business Partner role will provide tactical and strategic consultation on people and organization development strategies in support of the business objectives. This candidate will partner closely with the CHRO and carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: talent acquisition; employee relations consultation; policy interpretation and application, performance and compensation management consultation; and talent management consultation.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of human resource tasks and will be able to work independently with minimal direction. This person must be a self-starter, personable, professional, well organized, discrete, flexible and enjoy the challenges of working with a team of investment professionals in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

It is expected that the annual base salary range for this New York City-based position will be $200,000- $235,000. Actual base salary may vary based on factors such as individual's experience, skills, and qualifications for the role. Employees will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on factors such as individual, team, and company performance as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
