Job Summary
This role works closely with assigned leaders to assess, anticipate, facilitate, and lead organizational and HR activities in support of business objectives. The individual must operate as senior level individual contributor, leveraging HR skills, business acumen, and partnerships within HR and within the business to provide solutions and recommendations to influence, align, enable, and accelerate both short and long-term business/change objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
· Facilitates forward-looking discussions on talent development, total rewards, and organizational culture.
· Identifies innovative approaches to enhance productivity and improve the overall employee experience and influences leaders to employ those approaches.
· Guides assigned leaders and overall leadership team to employ change management best practices, tools, and resources. May at times be lead on defining communication and change management required for large, complex, and/or highly sensitive people matters.
· Key partner to Employee Relations Specialist(s) for successful resolution of employee matters, reinforcing and facilitating planned approaches through coaching and advice to leaders.
· Leverages tools and resources available to report and analyze HR metrics using data to provide insight and shape solutions.
· Maintains knowledge of and facilitates understanding of HR Compliance requirements and activities.
· Role in support of Centers of Expertise processes varies based on specific initiatives ranging from limited communication support to active facilitation within leadership teams to ensure tools and resources are fully leveraged.
· Fulfills a key leadership role in ensuring the HR matrix model delivers full value to the organization’s leaders and employees.
Compliance Responsibilities
· Facilitates and partners with HR team members and business leaders to ensure HR compliance matters are fully implemented.
Job Requirements
Experience/Education/Certifications [Items in brackets apply to Senior HRBP]
· 5 – 7 years experience as an HR Business Partner focused on mid-level leadership. Proven success influencing assigned leaders. [Significant experience as an HR Business Partner focused on executive leadership. Proven success at coaching and influencing executive leaders.]
· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or equivalent experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
· Fully developed business acumen, knows or able to quickly understand the key drivers of revenue, expense, and profitability for the business line supported
· Organizational assessment skills
· Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes with or without having authority over those outcomes
· Established change leadership skills [Proven experience as lead HRBP on significant organizational change efforts]
· Deep knowledge of employee relations and HR compliance
· Experience in a complex, matrixed organizations
· Demonstrated critical, analytical, and innovative thinking skills [Demonstrated strategic, critical, analytical, and innovative thinking skills]
· Strong leadership and change experience
· Employee relations experience
· Exceptional communication skills, ability to operate at all levels of the organization
· Proficiency in HR technology and analytics tools
Physical Demands:
· Must be able to communicate with others to exchange information
· Travel among OrthoVirginia work sites on a regular basis
· May be required to work irregular hours including evenings or weekends depending on urgency of employee matters or availability of key individuals
· Ability to move objects of up to 20 pounds
