Job Description

• HSE Coop

  Position Overview:

  Student will focus on collecting and analyzing HSE data; Perform day-to-day HSE administrative tasks; Assist in raising and maintaining a high level of awareness on safety, environmental and process compliance..

  Key Responsibilities

• Ensure training matrix is up to date, and support/guide supervisors on providing the training and training materials
• Update employee STOP card (BBS) and Field Level Risk Assessment inputs and compliance
• Review HSE related KPI's in order to target areas of improvement
• Liaise with plant staff on health, safety and environmental issues

• OUR CANDIDATE:

• Student of occupational health and safety from accredited University – preferably from TMU
• Excellent organization and analytical skills
• Strong communication (written, verbal, presentation) and interpersonal skills
• Ability to establish priorities and work effectively in a team
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), SharePoint, etc.
• Strong technical writing skills to be able to create documents for an adult learning audience
• Strong commitment to the Health and Safety and the Environment
• Knowledge of health, safety and/or environmental legislation
• Ability to read and interpret safety and environmental legislation

• Should be comfortable to wear personal protective equipment including safety shoes, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves and mask

• Perform plant inspections monthly and reporting deficiencies to HSE Specialist
• Other site duties may be assigned (e.g. SDS inventory and updates, Site safety maps update, etc.)
