Job Description

- Yard Checks: Perform thorough yard checks to ensure the completion of all necessary inspections and safety protocols.

Equipment Assignment: Assign equipment, including trailers, to runs and drivers, optimizing resource allocation.

Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Ground Linehaul team and the Hub Control Room to coordinate operations effectively.

Provide direction to outside carriers and Purolator drivers for where to position and park any trailers

Provide status update to Control Room of all Arrivals and Departures

Ensure the accuracy and timely preparation, processing, distribution and retention of all necessary reports and records regarding all operating functions for yard

Conduct internal audit regarding safety, housekeeping, security, equipment and inventory

Assist with maintaining yard conditions to ensure yard safety

Work with hand held electronic devises to maintain inventories and track status of equipment (YMS and TMS)
- Good knowledge of linehaul and trailer movement within the City Bulk/Ont. Hub (previous experience preferred)
- Excellent communications skills, both written and oral
- Excellent organization skills
- Excellent aptitude with numbers
- Strong motivational ability
- Must be a TEAM Player
