      Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for an HR Generalist. If you have a love of interacting with people and providing great customer service coupled with an interest in contributing directly to the success of a multi-billion-dollar organization, this is the position for you !

      This is a remote role within the Unites States or Hybrid for associates in Newport News, VA that will support all regions of the US. Our ideal candidate must be in Eastern or Central Standard time zone. The schedule is Monday through Friday and typical hours are 8am to 5pm EST.

      Job Function and Responsibilities:

      The Human Resources job family supports the management of the organization's associates and human resource programs. General areas of responsibility include developing human resource management strategies and policies to meet business needs; planning, administering, and reviewing activities concerned with recruitment, training and development, compensation and benefits, and associate relations.

      • Act as the point of contact for all HR topics such as payroll, benefits, compensation, leave of absence, recruiting, and employment practices.
      • Engage directly with internal and external contacts to resolve HR questions timely and accurately by phone (typically 4 hours a day), email, and online inquiries.
      • Capture details of inquiry, research, actions, and resolutions in case management system (ServiceNow) while simultaneously using other applications to review, research and locate additional information.
      • Advise associates and managers on HR policies, guidelines, and procedures.
      • Guide associates and managers on how to complete HR transactions and activities in our Human Resources Information System (Workday)
      • Use critical thinking to help troubleshoot pay issues, HRIS errors, candidate issues, benefits events, and more, partner with other groups or escalating as necessary.
      • Complete, check, and process HR-related forms and documents in accordance with established guidelines so that HR-related matters are administered quickly and accurately.
      • Identify opportunities to improve processes, service and the HR experience.
      • Adhering to all policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.
      • Performing other duties or functions as requested by management.

      Qualifications:

      • Ideal candidate will have human resources, customer service, or call center experience.
      • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and engage in sensitive conversations in addition to strong verbal and written communication skills.
      • Bilingual Spanish, preferred
      • Strong technical skills and ability to navigate multiple applications on the spot as part of phone interactions.
      • This role may qualify for remote work; the candidate must work Eastern Standard Time hours but may reside in the states in Eastern or Central Standard Time.

      Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
