      This is a full time (1.0 Exempt Status) day shift HR Generalist position in the Human Resources Department.

      Job Summary: Under direction of the Human Resources Director, the Human Resource Generalist provides support services to all departments within the facility. They must demonstrate the strategic ability to work at all levels of the organization and must be able to assist in the design of an organization that will deliver the business strategy. This position provides a positive attitude by working cooperatively and effectively with staff and other administrative and support personnel in maintaining the standards of professional behavior in the multidisciplinary acute care setting. The HR Generalist must be able to assist in recognizing talent that will add value to the facility and performs all other duties as assigned.

      Job Requirements:

      Minimum Education: Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.

      Required Skills: Must have strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Effective human relations skills are required for interfacing with team members, all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families and other contacts. Must possess the ability to effectively function in a stressful environment. Must have the ability to handle confidential information with great sensitivity. Must have the ability to work with limited supervision and highly motivated to complete tasks timely. Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.

      Preferred Certification(s): CHCR, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP

      Minimum Work Experience: Must have at least 2 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in hospital health care. Prefer experience with ULTIPRO (UKG) HRIS and KRONOS payroll/time systems. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications are required

      Essential Functions:

      • Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
      • Demonstrates excellent customer service through his/her attitude and actions, consistent with standards contained in the Vision, Mission, and Values of the organization.
      • Ensuring that data in HRIS system is accurate and up to date.
      • Knowledge of payroll laws and regulation.
      • Prepares Compensation recommendations for New Hires
      • Systems Administrator – to include but not limited to payroll changes, tracking and updates. Administrator for KRONOS and ULTIPRO (UKG) functions.
      • Train and educate Leaders on HR Systems
      • Knowledge of unemployment and disability inquiries
      • Maintain personnel, contract and volunteer files.
      • Assist with Work Comp and Leaves.
      • New Employee Orientation presenter.
