What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure compliance with state and federal laws regarding benefit administration for employees, retirees, and dependents
- Serve as a liaison for inquiries related to eligibility, claims, and billing issues
- Conduct interviews to determine benefits eligibility and process necessary paperwork
- Manage daily transactions related to enrollment applications and payroll deductions
- Train staff on new processes and identify areas for improvement
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Experience in Human Resource Management Systems
- Knowledge of benefit programs and insurance terminology
- Understanding of COBRA law and Family Medical Leave
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with MFASIS, accounting, and payroll systems
- Experience with Medicare rules and IRS regulations regarding qualifying life events
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
