      Yara’s Ethics and Compliance Department is responsible for the Compliance program including human rights policy globally in Yara, and for protecting our license to operate. As a Human Rights Specialist, you will be actively contributing to the human rights agenda at Yara.

      The Human Rights Specialist reports to the Human Rights Manager in the Ethics & Compliance Department. The role is preferably based out of headquarters in Oslo.

      Responsibilities

      • Contribute to the human rights agenda at Yara in line with the United Nations Guiding Principles and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.
      • Perform human rights risk assessments in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
      • Cooperate across departments on human rights-related projects, including human rights impact assessments.
      • Assist the business line in embedding human rights in relevant business processes, including steering system policies and procedures.
      • Maintain training material on human rights, both for face-to-face training modules and e-learning.
      • Contribute to external reporting on Yara's human rights performance including Yara's Integrated Report and Sustainability reports, Modern Slavery Act statements, and other national disclosure requirements, such as the Norwegian Transparency Act.
      • Assist the business in responding to human rights due diligence forms from customers.
      • Review and follow-up on human rights-related risk exposure identified through supplier integrity due diligence questionnaires.
      • Participate in social audits of suppliers.
      • Engage with worker representatives globally.

      Profile

      We are looking for you who is/has;


      • Bachelor in human rights, social sciences, human resources, or similar disciplines.
      • Energetic and fast learner. Well-versed or interested in learning about human rights management, sustainability, and social impact.
      • Comfortable working in a multi-cultural, multi-language environment with cross-cultural collaboration.
      • Professional & Diplomatic approach to problem-solving and/or reaching goals.
      • Good communication skills, including collaboration with senior employees. Have a proactive and self-starter approach.
      • Demonstrates judgment in handling confidential information.
      • Proficiency in English (written & spoken) Fluent knowledge of any other language is a plus.
