- This role requires knowledge of mechanical systems, including all applicable building codes, HVAC (inclusive of air handling units, unit heaters/coolers, etc.) industry standards , and other plumbing systems.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Territory Account Managers and other teams to accomplish equipment sizing and selection of mechanical equipment.
- Creates and distributes weekly project jobs bidding
- Creates and maintains projects in Sales Force
- Perform duties with multiple projects within the established schedules.
- Work on a wide variety of project types, scales and complexity.
- Assist in the development of contract specifications and research the application of new procedures, and/or products.
- Determine optimal pricing levels and analyze competitor pricing for bids.
- Monitor all correspondence between team, Territory Account Managers, contractors, owners, etc.
- Assume responsibility for the overall economic well-being of the assigned projects
- Communicate with clients in an engaging manner, maintaining client satisfaction, and project efficiency
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in reading and evaluating HVAC and Plumbing schedules
- Heightened sense of urgency in completing projects/bids before due date.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new pricing methodologies.
- Achieve business objectives and company goals as instructed.
- 3+ years’ experience in Project Management, highly desirable
- Bluebeam, Sales Force, Revit and AutoCAD skills a plus
- Experience working on publicly-funded and municipal projects is a plus.
- Knowledge/experience in refrigeration system design is a plus.

Job Summary:
The HVAC Bid Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating the bidding process for HVAC and mechanical systems projects. This role requires in-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC and plumbing, as well as familiarity with applicable building codes and industry standards. Key duties include collaborating with various teams to select and size equipment, creating and distributing project bids, and maintaining project records in Salesforce. The specialist will manage multiple projects of varying complexity, assist in developing contract specifications, and research new procedures and products. Additionally, they will analyze competitor pricing, monitor project correspondence, and ensure the economic well-being of assigned projects. Strong client communication and engagement are essential to maintain satisfaction and project efficiency.
