Job Title: HVAC Technician

Job Description

Technicians will work usually in a team to service equipment and ensure a great customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with customers, managers, and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls.
• Deliver and install rented HVAC equipment and train the authorized operator (and/or customer) on the safe use of the equipment.
• Direct customers to sign appropriate paperwork and keep track of serial numbers.
• Successfully troubleshoot the operation, function, specifications, capabilities, and controls of any piece of rental equipment.
• Operate company vehicle safely and follow all company safety policies.
• Clean and test returned equipment, ensuring operation and appearance are up to standards.
• Complete appropriate paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls.
• Install flexible gas hose on both propane and natural gas applications.
• Implement proper and safe procedures to check gas connections.
• Work with managers and sales engineers to maintain accurate records and tracking of in-stock and rented equipment.
• Be on call for emergency service and available on a rotating schedule for emergency service response calls on weekends and evenings.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a service-related role interacting with customers.
• Basic math skills.
• Mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn more.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record free from points.
• Must be at least 21 years or older.
• Ability to work some after-hours and weekend work during peak times.

Work Environment

Shop environment with occasional on-call duty to handle service calls. Mandatory drug and alcohol testing before employment offers and for DOT MedCard. Back ground check going back 7 years to include driving record.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
