      Overview

      Successful candidates require a minimum of five years’ experience working on commercial air conditioning, refrigeration and kitchen equipment. Must be E.P.A certified. Must have knowledge and experience in trouble shooting and repair in the following area: Kitchen, Equipment, Electrical, Welding, Plumbing, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration, and Kitchen Exhaust System.


      Responsibilities

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

      • Maintenance and repair of large hotel kitchen equipment.
      • Repair of plumbing and associated equipment i.e., toilet replacement, snake stopped drains, repair leaks in piping, faucets and drains.
      • HVAC - heating, vent, and air conditioning maintenance and repair. Repairing air handlers, VAV box, calibrating thermostats.
      • Water treatment of spas, pools, cooling towers, boilers, water softeners, closed loop systems.
      • Maintenance of boiler and chiller operation and associated equipment.
      • Maintenance and repair of refrigeration and ice machines.
      • Operation, maintenance, and repair of stand-by generators.
      • Maintenance and repair of pumps and pressurized water systems.
      • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.

      SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :

      None


      Qualifications

      QUALIFICATIONS :
      HVAC certified, 5 years’ minimum work experiences in maintenance or trades, basic knowledge of maintenance or trades.

      Minimum age requirement is 21.

      MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

      Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities.

      Language Skills:

      Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures.

      Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, employees, and members of management in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.

      Must be able to complete standard forms and reports.

      PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

      • Constant mental alertness, use of sight abilities, eye/hand coordination, observing details, and following direction in completing tasks, directing others planning, reading, writing, using math, discriminating colors, working at various tempos or working rapidly, making decisions, concentrating remembering, attention to and observing details.
      • Constantly walking can be up to 1000ft, sitting, standing.
      • Frequently balancing, reaching, stooping, bending, crawling, kneeling, twisting, fingering, handling, wrist motion.

      WORK ENVIRONMENT :

      • Cramped quarters,
      • Dust/dirt, fumes/odors, noise
      • Hot/cold temperatures, outside/inside, wet/humid, vibrations,
      • Walk on uneven surface, stand on concrete,
      • Work with others/alone, chemicals.
