      HIRING: Israel Program Manager Inter-Agency Task Force on Israeli Arab Issues (IATF)

      ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION

      The Inter-Agency Task Force on Israeli Arab Issues is a non-partisan resource center on Arab citizens of Israel that provides educational services to American Jewish organizations, funders, leaders, and educators.

      Israel Program Manager

      IATF seeks a seasoned professional with expertise on Arab citizens, Jewish-Arab relations, and shared society in Israel to manage and implement our Israel-based activities. The program manager will work closely with IATFs executive director and senior staff to ensure coordination and alignment of IATFs overall mission across our New York and Israel-based offices. The program manager will serve as a content-expert for IATF and its members, working closely with Israel-based team to ensure IATF programs and resources are well-informed by current developments in the field and by leading experts, professionals, activists, and influential changemakers working on these issues. The program manager will oversee Israel-based research, partnerships, and strategic projects; develop and implement educational activities such as webinars and site-visits for a range of American Jewish audiences; and represent IATF at conferences, trainings, and workshops as needed.

      Essential Functions:

      • Provide up-to-date overview of major issues, developments, and discourse in the field across social, economic, civic, and political developments.
      • Represent IATF and maintain network of organizations and leaders working on issues related to Arab society and Jewish-Arab relations in Israel.
      • Develop and lead in person and online educational programs for American Jewish organizations and funders.
      • Learn about the educational needs of key IATF constituencies (funders, federations, educators):
      • Identify relevant speakers and materials.
      • Support speaker preparation and presentations.
      • Frame and moderate discussions.
      • Conduct field research and mapping of select issues and areas of interest for IATF.
      • Prepare written reports and summaries of new developments and findings emerging the field, ranging from in-depth briefing papers to short posts and updates for IATFs website and newsletters.
      • Educate and train professionals and organizations in Israel about working with American Jewish organizations.
      • Collaborate with US staff on special projects and partnerships, including trainings and facilitated meetings, media production, professional development, and more.
      • Support coordination and teamwork among Israel-based personnel.

      Skills & Qualifications:

      • Minimum 5-7 years professional experience (i.e. project/partnerships management, field research, etc.)
      • Deep knowledge of Arab society issues in Israel, Jewish-Arab relations, shared society, and the field of related organizations and leaders.
      • English, Hebrew, and Arabic fluency.
      • Familiarity and interest in American Jewish communities and organizations (preferred).
      • Exceptional ability to listen, summarize, and articulate complex issues in an organized and clear manner, written and oral.
      • Group training and facilitation skills preferred.
      • Comfort with public speaking.
      • Familiarity and comfort with computer and digital platforms (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, Teams, Canva, Monday or equivalent).
