Job summary
Applicants must be able to multi-task and be able to work as part of a team and on their own. They must be professional at all times and be able to stay calm in stressful situations and be able to resolve any problems. There are times when they may work alone and will need to make decisions themselves taking appropriate action.
You will be supported by a Senior Administrator and be expected to:-
We are a small team who engage in a positive and proactive manner. We have a friendly, comfortable work area and are always willing to help out all teams and each other, when needed.
Main duties of the job
o Carry out activities to support clinical triage of referrals for community care and track patients through care pathways across primary, secondary and acute settings.
o Schedule visits to patients on behalf of Clinicians and Assistants using electronic systems where available.
o To answer telephone calls as appropriate of the protocols of the service
o Input and retrieve data using IT systems, ensuring that all information taken is recorded quickly and accurately
o To communicate effectively and consistently both with colleagues and callers to the service whilst retaining the ability to remain calm in difficult situations
o To prioritise calls requiring immediate attention of a clinician
o Recognise and action needs of callers with referrals to most appropriate service
o Prepare reports and letters in relation to patient care
o Respond appropriately to enquiries from other services and patients, referring to other members of the team when necessary
o Ensure adequate clinical and office supply stocks available for teams
o To support the Practitioner of the Day with admin tasks
