- Providing on-site technical support for manufacturing personnel and project managers
- Working closely with the estimating team to confirm technical solutions for proposal activities
- Solving problems on the production floor by working with off-site engineering and design personnel using approved designs and drawings
- Assisting with project execution responsibilities, such as technical submittals and bill of material validation
- Developing work order details for the MRP system based upon drawings, estimates and customer documents
- Creating new kits and subassemblies for use in standard product lines
- Supporting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
- Coordinating the activities associated with customer or 3rd party inspector visits
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar technical field with no experience; OR Associate's degree and 3+ years experience working in a technical, project support or manufacturing role; OR 5+ years experience working in a technical, project support or manufacturing role without a degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Comfortable and capable in communicating with anyone from the manufacturing floor to plant management in a fast paced environment
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- Experience in a manufacturing atmosphere using ERP/MRP such as Oracle or SAP
- Inclination to understand how things work, technical curiosity
Based in St. Louis, MO, the Technical Associate is an established key team member helping to coordinate the technical aspects of manufacturing projects completed at our St. Louis Integration Center. This team manufactures the hardware component of industrial control systems for Emerson’s customers across North America. In this highly visible role, you will help to drive technical support for a portfolio of as many as 50-100 active manufacturing orders at any given time.
